The Studio "uniform" for females is a black long sleeve leotard with pink, white or suntan tights. This "uniform" is frequently used during the dance year for community performances and in the Annual Revue. Hair must be pulled back away from face and neatly secured for class. Proper ballet skirts and/or dance shorts may be worn at the instructors discretion. Any student not properly attired (determined by the class instructor) may be refused entry into the classroom. Males should wear dark shorts or sweatpants and a white T-shirt and BLACK dance shoes. Please mark all dance wear (including leotards, shoes and dance bags) with student's name.
Please note dance shoe colors are as follows: TAN for tap and PINK for ballet; color for jazz (BLACK or TAN) will vary by class. Advanced students will require special shoes for lyrical.
For your convenience, the annual tuition is divided into 9 monthly payments due the first of each month, September through May. We accept cash or checks. Note: Any check returned for non-payment will be charged a $25 fee. Monthly payments received after the first lesson of the month will be charged a $10 late fee.
The entire season may be paid in full (by the first class in September), in two installments payable on September 1st and February 1st or in three installments payable on September 1st, December 1st, and March 1st. Tuition fees are based on a minimum number of classes throughout the entire season and are not adjusted due to closings for holidays, school vacations or inclement weather. The first month tuition payment must be received to begin lessons.
Class schedules are subject to change for holidays, vacations and inclement weather. We do not follow any specific public school schedule due to the fact that our students come from many different locations. A copy of the Studio calendar indicating important dates and closings will be posted in the Studio as well as issued to each student. A recorded message for cancellations due to weather conditions may be heard by calling (781) 878-2211. Please call after 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and after 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays. We encourage good attendance but greatly appreciate advance notification of student absences.
An Annual Dance Revue is held in the spring of each year. Participation in the Revue is not mandatory but the Studio should be informed of this decision no later than December 1st. Revue participation requires account balances to be paid in full by May 1st. Any student who withdraws from a class once the costumes have been ordered is financially responsible for the remainder of the costume portion due from the monthly tuition payment. The Studio does not permit the use of personal video or flash cameras during the Annual Revue.
No GUM or CANDY is allowed in the dance rooms. NO FOOD OR DRINKS (including coffee) are allowed in the Studio. Dancers are permitted water bottles in the waiting area ONLY. Smoking on the property is strictly prohibited. Your cooperation in abiding by these regulations is sincerely appreciated.
